The Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 bodies were mounted on a 2600 mm chassis with unique 508E serial numbers and odd GT numbering. Based on the design of the previous 250 GT Coupe model, the Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 featured a 200 mm engine displacement to increase cabin space. The car is equipped with independent front suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, a four-speed transmission and a three-liter V12 engine producing 240 hp.
Significant design changes were made in 1962, including the relocation of the headlights and changes to the taillights and interior details. Production of the model continued until the end of 1963.
