About Lamborghini 350 GT
The Lamborghini 350 GT, an elite Gran Turismo sports car, was produced by the Italian company Lamborghini from 1964 to 1966. This car was Lamborghini's first production model.

Design

The Engine
The Lamborghini 350 GT inherits a number of design features from its 350 GTV prototype, including independent four-wheel suspension and a 3.5-liter twin-valve V12 engine. To make the 3.5-liter DOHC V12 engine more affordable, reliable and durable, the manufacturers replaced the dry crankcase lubrication system with a standard one, lowered the compression ratio, eliminated the use of expensive materials and installed six standard Weber carburetors. These changes allowed the engine to develop 280 hp, which was enough to reach speeds of up to 254 km/h. The engine was mated to a ZF 5-speed manual transmission and transferred torque to the rear wheels via a Salisbury differential. Like the prototype, the production Lamborghini 350 GT had a rectangular tubular frame, fully independent suspension with double wishbones and springs, and servo-controlled Girling disc brakes on all wheels. Despite the increase in wheelbase from 2450 to 2550 mm, the car remained a two-seater.
