European Exhaust Header Set

For the late USA Meraks AM122.A.US. (late 1975 to 1983)

The USA delivered Meraks were equipped with thermo-reactor type exhaust manifolds in order to comply with emission standards of the period. These exhaust manifolds were restrictive and diminished the performance which the Merak 3.0L was designed and capable of achieving. Many years ago MIE developed a replacement set of exhaust manifolds (headers) which emulate the european type manifolds and when installed bring back the true performance that the Merak 3.0L engine was designed to achieve.

The performance gains are noticeable not just theoretical. The engine will breath better the exhaust will sound sweeter and you will enjoy throttle response more attune to a european exotic car.

The manifolds are 16 Gauge mild cold rolled steel mandrel bent and tuned to the collector. They come with gaskets for both ends.

Applications:
Merak (late 1975 to 1983) Check that your VIN number has (AM122.A.US) with (A) before the US.
