Maserati Parts Distributor Has New Owner

MIE Corporation Founder, Frank Mandarano, announced today the sale of the company. The MIE Corporation was founded on the kitchen table in 1976 and has grown to become the world's largest independent distributor of new and used classic Maserati spare parts and accessories. According to Mandarano, "The sale will free up valuable time and allow me to focus on the Concorso Italiano." The Concorso Italiano was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Mandarano 17 years ago.

The new owner of MIE, Mr. Kerry McMullen, an automobile collector and fellow gear-head, is enthusiastic about Maserati and plans to add renewed focus and energy to the company. Mr. Mandarano has agreed to stay on as a consultant and lend assistance while Kerry takes MIE Corporation into the future.

MIE Corporation publishes the beautiful 180-page glossy color Maserati magazine, Viale Ciro Menotti, and is home to the Maserati Club International -- the world's largest Maserati support group, with over 3000 members from 32 countries.

As a part of this exciting transition, Club members should anticipate some additional benefits. Importantly, owners can expect the service level from MIE and Maserati Club International to continue at the superior level they have come to know.

Club members will continue to get the same professional advice and service from the MIE staff, whose combined Maserati experience exceeds 37 years. "The staff, including Stuart Avery, Mitchell Poe and Jeff Tucker, will continue to be an important component of our success," said Kerry McMullen, "I am truly looking forward to meeting and working with our Club members and all fans of the trident."

Kerry welcomes feedback from MCI members and the Maserati community about what you would like to see in our existing products and future lines. You can contact Kerry McMullen by email at kam@maseratinet.com or call at (253) 833-2598.

When asked how he felt about the sale, Frank Mandarano said, "I may have stepped down from my position as C.E.O. of the MIE Corporation but my enthusiasm and passion for all things Maserati is as strong as ever. Janet and I plan to take this opportunity to attend regional Maserati events here in the USA and around the world. We especially look forward to visiting all the Maserati friends we have come to know over the last 27 years."
