| GIORGETTO GIUGIARO AWARDED PLACE OF HONOR AT THE DETROIT "AUTOMOTIVE HALL OF FAME"
On October 15th, Giorgetto Giugiaro was awarded a place of honor at the automotive Hall of Fame and his name will be engraved for eternity among the heritage of personalities that made, and continue to make, masterly automobile excellence. Aside from Giorgetto Giugiaro, six other distinguished personalities of the automotive world, including Giovanni Agnelli, who founded Fiat, and the two brothers, Andrè and Edouard Michelin, who founded Michelin, will take place of honor at the award ceremony, which will be held before more than 500 guests. At the close of the ceremony, held at Dearborn (MI) in the historic Hall of Fame, a memorial plaque engraved with the signature of the 7 award-winners will be laid.
This all-new tribute to Giorgetto Giugiaro is the logic continuation of a long-lasting series of awards including, more particularly, Car Designer of the Century awarded at Las Vegas in 1999 and commendation at the Hall of Fame of the European automotive industry in 2000 at Geneva Palexpo, which houses every year the Geneva International Motor Show.
