Colin and Joan (the only two to show up) - so not much to write about!

The day before Frank and Janet Mandarano joined us here in Vancouver - for dinner on Friday at the Cafe de Paris, and for breakfast the next day at Troll's in Horseshoe Bay.

June 18/05 (Saturday) Social Get Together dinner at Earls Restaurant North Vancouver.

Colin, Joan, and Pirate the only participants.

June 19/05 (Sunday) - Italian Days Display North Vancouver waterfront park.

Joan and Colin brought their 1962 3500 GT1 and 1989 430 ; as well as their 1967 Alfa Romeo Duetto Spyder. Ron and Erica Garrecht brought their immaculate QP3. There was a 2003 Coupe from Seattle (didn't get his name); and a new 2005 Coupe Cambicorsa (local dealer) in attendance. This is a relaxed low-key event and in a very nice waterfront park location.

July 16 (Saturday) and July 17/05 (Sunday) Coast Mountain Run

Nice little 300 mile circular romp for the Masers through the Coast Mountains with an overnight at Whistler, B.C.

July 24/05 (Sunday) - All Italian Makes display - Italian Cultural Centre - Vancouver, B.C.

Joan looking lovely with the 430 at the warehouse.
Joan looking rather 'preggers' with the 430 at the Italian Cultural Centre.
Two lovely Alfa's - a Zagato and a Sprint Speciale.
Joan, nice table/umbrella; pizza, and gelato – great combination.

Sept. 4/05 - Seattle Italian Concours d'Elegance - South Lake Union Park

First time that I had participated so Joan and I made a weekend out of it. Left early Saturday morning to beat the rush at the USA border - didn't work too well as we were stuck in the lineup for 45 minutes. Then on down I5 to Fairhaven (old lovely town just south of Bellingham - at the northern end of the Chuckanut Drive) for breakfast at the Harris Avenue Cafe (our favorite) - then on to Seattle and our hotel located about six blocks from the park and about 4 blocks from the Space Needle. Spent a few hours cleaning up the 3500 then walked around the neighborhood - had dinner at a fun pizza place called Zeeks. Up on Sunday morning and a five minute drive to the Park and concours. Great event with nice turnout of Italian cars - in particular a nice sampling of Maserati which was the featured marque. Larry Ruben came up from Gold Hills, Oregon with a friend of his from Portland in a newly acquired Mistral coupe. The MCI due (Mike and Kerry) arrived in some American Iron towing a non-running 228 - come on guys - get with the plan!

Pirate waiting in the 3500 for his driver.
Joan, Pirate, and 3500 as we are about ready to set off. Merak SS lurking in the background.
Pirate caught mid-yawn - geez guys its kind of early on Saturday morning!
Colin and Pirate outside the Harris Avenue Cafe in downtown Fairhaven (Bellingham).
The 3500 GTi looking good on the street in Fairhaven. This is one of the most photogenic vehicles ever!
Heading up the street in Seattle North - Space Needle in the background.
Lunch on the patio at Lake Union on Saturday.
Cleaning up the 3500 at the hotel parking lot on Saturday afternoon.
All cleaned up ready for the concours tomorrow.
An Osca 750 cc racing car from the 1950's - what a beauty. Our 3500 GTi next to it. Then a brand new 2005 coupe; Bora; Mistral coupe; and a Ghibli.
Picture 0151 - This is the Ghibli SS coupe that won best of marque. Our 3500 GTi got second which was a nice end to a really fun day.
Colin, Pirate, the 3500 GTi; and our second place award - a lovely cut glass vase with sandblasted inscription - very nice.
Our beauty (the 3500) back at the barn - fun weekend.
